NSFI Launches Internship Deployment with I-VEND FED
NSFI kicks off the Internship Deployment with the Independent Vendors for Empowerment and Development Federation (I-VEND FED), formalizing the deployment of Social Work Interns from the University of Cebu through an agreement signing and orientation.
Our interns are set to deepen their practice in community and sectoral organizing, mentored by IVEND FED, Cebu City’s champion for vendor associations and small-trader welfare.
NSFI is a current agency partner of the University of Cebu, through its College of Social Work, for the internship program. Through this partnership, NSFI is able to provide its interns with meaningful field exposure grounded in real community work. In turn, NSFI’s program partner, I-VEND FED, gains additional capacity through the interns’ support in their organizing efforts.
For the Social Work Interns, this deployment bridges the gap between academic training and actual practice. It equips them with the experience needed to become effective advocates in the communities they will serve.
